Update, October 2026
This is a news item from January 2025, when the crop was in its induction stage. What happened next: the first shipments from Megaproyecto Pachamama left in January and February 2026 bound for Spain, by air from Callao. The full market picture is in which countries Peruvian pitahaya is exported to (in Spanish).
Our Agricultural Engineer reports that each pitahaya plant has reached an average height of 1.40 metres and has 2 to 5 branches at the apical section. These branches, carefully selected for their degree of maturity, are the ones that will secure our first harvest.
We are currently in the induction process, a crucial stage that prepares the plants for the development of flower buds. Next comes budding and, finally, the harvest. This meticulous work allows us to ensure that we will meet the quality standards needed to complete our first export of 2025.
At Megaproyecto Pachamama, we keep moving forward with commitment and precision towards a future full of opportunities in the international market.
